Tried a long threaded bar and washer way yet?

Or shimming the headset then clamping it in a vice. Then remove shims.

Just go to Alans BMX tomorrow. They'll prob do it for free.

Saving that, lots of Lithium grease, hammer, wood. You need to put wood underneath too to protect the frame. The frame needs to be pushed against something (usually the floor) so you don't lose any energy when hammering. I've used hammer and wood to do headset and bottom bearing cups about 20 times. Just don't give up.

Or just goto Alans.

I`ve always used the hammer and wood technique, hold frame with one hand and place the headstock (been a while since I`ve worked on bikes but I`m sure you know the bit I mean) on a workbench, then headset and block of wood on top. You`ve just got to make sure its square and give it one almighty smack with the hammer, it can only go one way then, if it keeps popping up to one side you`re not hitting it hard enough or not hitting the wood directly above the centre on the headset.
