I don't know why anyone would want angel eye lights now, I think they've been over done - every third mini you see has them and it's tacky. The wipac freeform units are quite elegant though, and well made and you don't need to buy them from minitrailers.

If only other people would sell those fantastic real lights that he does... man I really want some of those!

The other thing that comes to mind when talking about the angel eye lights, is the reduced reflector size. I know it isn't much, but then again mini lights are only small to start with, and I think any reduction in reflector area is a bad thing. Just look at what happens when your lights get a wee bit dirty - they go disproportionately dim. If you then have an even smaller area for the light to shine through it will be worse right?

Go wipac!

HID are High Intensity Discharge, basically they are bright as hell but use very little power, they need a ballast to fire them up and specially desighned light units to focus the "discharged" light properly

a friend of mine fitted them to a focus last week, they look cool, provide a little better light but to get it all cost him around £350!

Are HID's and Xenons the same thing?

My dad got some xenons last week for his Fabia(just bulbs) as it only cost £19! to be honest, I havn't noticed much difference, but he hasn't done the main beam yet only sidelights

HID xenons are different to xenons..

xenons are just the bulbs whereas HIDs dont have a filament but instead creates light by igniting an arc between two electrodes and come with ballasts..

Ive just paid £70 posted for my HIDs :D

are you just sticking the HID bulbs into wipac units or is someone manufacturing HID kits for minis?

if they are making proper HID kits i'd invest in one :D
