can external hinges from a mk1 mini go on my mini that has internal hinges?

also in the picture i have uploaded where has everything gone in the engine bay in that area and the two strengthenin bits of metal that attach to the inner wings gone? is that safe?

i am about to embark on this after chrimbo. after talking tto camp freddie, he suggested strengthening plates. the whole thread is here

I think that the mini in that photo is fibreglass, i think they're called Domino shells, so they're moulded like that.

However I've seen a few mini's with the bulkhead smoothed. I've done it too. But I've those two 'strengthening bits' there.
