(Tried the search but found nothing)
With the cold weather here, my mini seems to steam up v.quickly and dosen't clear unless i open the window and leave it open (and i dont want to do this all the time as the side of my head gets freezing lol). When the heater is switched to "car" it blows out of the bottom as it should, switch i to "screen" and not much happens. You can hear it blowing but nothing seems to be blowing out of the screen vents (well A tiny amount out the passenger side vent, but you can only feel it with your hand flat on the vent). My rear windsreen heaters work as the mist clears very quickly. Could they be blocked somewhere? If so is it a pain to check and clear?
Otherwise i haven't a clue what it could be so need some help. Advise and help would be grately recieved, thanks.

Generally the 'Screen' option is very weak (mine blows more into the car than on the actual screen) but still its not impossile to check, depends on what dash you have as to how annoyed you'll get with it! basically the ribbed pipe from the side of the heater runs up to bit black hard plastic funnel shaped thingies below the screen vents, if the pipe has slipped off the 'funnel' then this may be why it isnt cleaning! or if the pipe is really old and cracked then it will jsut be leaking behind the dash etc, so its worth having a looksie but it can sometimes be a pain getting right up to the funnel bits!

check all the pipes are connected and a bit of duck tape around the joints and the outlet thingy at the wind screen helps

Similar problems for our mini.
I ended up pulling most of the dash away, so i could see the routes of the pipes...
The pipe on my heater are fine, no cracks or leaks that i can feel when connected, Yet i can fart more power up the screen than they blow, I find, if you disconnect them from the funnel things and hold the end of the pipe aimed at the window it works better, I think it may be the funnel that restricts it
Also, Clean all your windows good, As the steam only sticks to dirt from what i know, So give them a good clean, and window lean them aswell or something like that!

cheers guys, as i said theres nothing atall coming from driver vent and there is such little air coming out the other,
i shall give the screen a good clean to see if that helps, otherwise i'll have to get a balaclava or something to stop my head going numb lol.
thanks again.

They are pants 'n leak air all over the shop. You can make better ones Blue Peter stylee with some old plaggy bottles 'n sticky tape. The biggest culprit is the bit that screws to the upper dash rail - does a better job of heating the rail than the screen.
