Ive got a whistleing noise coming from my car since engine change its not the alternator belt i think its air getting in somewhere anyone experienced this before?

do the pitch of the whistle change with engine speed or road speed ?

Spray some WD40 where the carb joins the inlet manifold. A leak there will cause a whistling sound, and WD40 should cause the engine note to change. You may just need to tighten up the carb, or there may be a bad seal caused by an uneven mating surface, or part of the carb fowling something preventing it from mating properly.

Is it a Weeeeeeeeep or more of a Psssssssssht?
Only problem with the wubble-u-dee fortee trick is you'll have contaminated the dodgy mating surfaces in finding them
