Hey guys & girls.

Are there any phone geeks here? or Mobile phone sales/tester people?

Ok.

I am due to upgrade mobile in Feburary, and I've been in the shops today and it would seem everyone is designing the same sort of phones, I've normally stuck to Sony Ericsson, I can't stand Nokia, and really detest Motorola...
But a LG caught my eye... which is quite nice with a 5mp camrea etc...

But does anyone have the LG vartety? (spelling might be wrong) or the Sony Ericsson W910?
Or would anyone recommend any other phones to nose at?

The main things I'd like are a fapping good camera, good memoary or expandable memoary as I like to use my phone as a MP3 player too, something that looks good, easy-ish to use, nothing that will need repairing every few months (unlike my W850)...

Any input will be welcome >_<

Cheers

p.s its has to be on Vodafone.

I've had my LG (U880) for a good 2 years now! Its built like the old Nokias used to be, I've thrown it around like a drunk with a prozzy and its still working today! Its suffered from the deteriating battery syndrome that every phone seems to go through, but I've just bought another battery and it lasts on full charge for a couple 2-3 days now. The phone's camera is pretty good, although being two years old now I reckon your new phones camera will be much better, and its nice and easy to use. The only criticism I have of my phone is that the delete key during txt messages is also the send key, so its pretty easy to send 1/2 finished txts to someone. I jsut get around this by selecting the recipient after I've typed the txt, so if I do accidentally hit send, there isn't anyone to send it to.

I did upgrade to a S.E, and whilst the camera was REALLY good, I wasn't a fan of the menu system, and I know a few people have had problems with keys losing there connectons.

Oh, and a warning about the touchscreen LGs, after a while I've heard reports of the screen/touchpads playing up.

I have the LG viewty

its an amazing phone, camera is excellent, and clever too, saves the images in low res, and then converts them to high res when transfered onto the PC

touchscreen is really sharp, and uncluttered, has a micro SD slot for extra memory, about 150mb of internal mem

texting is changeable, can use a standard mobile layout, computer keyboard layout, or handwriting recognition with the included stylus

good Music player too, with all the modern features like shuffle, repeat, playlist creation etc. etc.

was a bit unsure about LG at first, but this phone amazed me, nicely built and finished too

In all honsety I never knew it was touchscreen!! :ermm:
But its certainly sounding like its more ahead than most phones.

You say it has a Memoary card... are there "big" memoary cards avilable for it? As currently I have a 1gb card in my W850, and I've run out of space :)

Don't like Nokia, and have a TomTom 910, so no need for a SatNav :-

The choice is still between the Sony Ericsson W910 and the LG Veiwity...

The SE has it on looks... but the LG has it on features...
