If your after an engine crane and want it delivered (bearing in mind they are about 80kg) then i would suggest buying off here Northern Tools ive used them loads in the past and bought my crane off them and using the standard delivery (2-3 days) its free shipping.

I bought a 2 tonne £150 crane from ebay brand new.

It is 95kgs i think, And the box is massive, Its as long as my desk, and the base comes in a seperate box!

I dont actually own a car that i can take it home in, so its been sat where i work now for 3 months :(

i have a 1 tonne crane and it folds down quite small.. fits in my berlingo van or the boot of the picasso

wouldn't suggest trying in a mini though.

When our engine crane was delivered by courier, the driver refused to lift it out of the van by himself.... I told him there was nobody else at home and that I had medical problems and wasn't supposed to lift heavy weights, but he still refused and told me it would be returned to the depot.......

The box had a gross weight of 95KG.... He actually stood by and let ME drag it onto a trolley and bring it into the back garden myself, I know it's the law now that couriers aren't allowed to lift over about 25 KG by themselves, but I thought he might make an exception for me! :P

I did ring the company to ask why couriers were actually sent out with parcels that are over the acceptable weight, but they didn't have any answers or apologies for me!

Just make sure you're ready to help lift it, don't leave your girlfriend/Mum etc at home to accept the parcel!
