Not sure what my options are really my gearbox whines very loadly into every gear and all the gears are very stiff also sometimes when going into first it sort of bangs into gear. Its been like this for about a year. Its not got worse at all but should i expect it to just conk out on me.

Also should i go down the scrappy and get a gearbox on the cheap or would i be better off getting it rebuilt. How much is this likly to cost me?
