Thanks for the comments. Hoping to get some more done over the next few days now the festivities are out of the way.

I'm open to offers for my old side lights. Drop me a PM with your best offer if you are interested. They need new studs and one bullet connector, but are otherwise fine.

You can contact the chap who makes the side lights at www.spiyda.com if you're not on 16V mini club.

The wheels are 3" inner and outers. Didn't want to go too wide as that's not my cup of tea :(

Sticking to the body work some more, I've had Force Racing work me a crank and set of rods.

Posted Image

It's wedged, back drilled, the O.D. has been turned down to 125mm, cross-drilled big ends and hand clean up.

Posted Image

They've had the big ends faced off, little end radius' machined, main caps radius' machined, little ends reamed for floating pins, balancing and hand finishing.

Top work as always. :))

I see you had the same fun and games that I had with the pattern rear 1/4s, utterly shocking fit. Nice build as well by the way!!

Thanks, the pattern quarter was awful! Much happier with the genuine panels.

I also made a small hole in the back the other day

Made a bit more progress.

Decided I didn't want to weld up the battery box hole in the new boot floor, so I've made an alu plate to fill it.

Typical of this car, the seat back was a little bit rusty

Posted Image

mmmmm swaged

Posted Image

Then I stuck the new floor in and hacked of the rest of the rear panel

For once welding went well :D

Then this happened:

So, bar a few little bits, the shell is finished >_<

You've seen nothing yet.

That steering wheel is nice.

It's shot, only for rolling the car round on...
