is it a super-charger?? what car it from??
Yes it is

It's from an eary Toyota MR2. The supercharged ones are very rare in the UK (import only) so I've had to get it from New Zealand.
The plan is to bolt it to my MG Metro engine and run it at about 10PSi. Should be good for about 100 BHP at the wheels

No. It's an engine mounted cheese greater. All the rage in Paris
That was my second guess!
How many KG's per hour?

18. It's not bad once you get over the taste of oil and petrol

The engine is a 1275 MG Metro one with a +20,000 overbore. It has a Kent 276 cam in it. I have a stage 3 head to go on it. I'm going to get the chambers machined out to get the compresion down to about 8.5:1. It will be getting a rebuilt box from guessworks with a cross pin diff.what you going to do with the engine?? and what carb you going for?
I'll be using megajolt to provide a reliable spark. An SPi fuel tank and pump and a filter king preasure regulator should give fuel at a constant 3PSi.
The carb will be a HIF44 rebuilt with a turbo rebuild kit, a RAM pipe and sock. The exhaust will be a twin box maniflow 1 3/4" with a chrome rolled tip.
The cooling will be taken care of with a new MK 1 Metro rad and pipes with a 9" kenlowe style fan. I will need to trim the front panel slightly to get it in and make some brackets to hold it in place, but it's relativly easy.
Then there's the kit to fit the charger. It has custom manifolds, pulleys and belts.
Here's a picture of the kit bolted to a 998:

My engine will be black, like the original GT ones. I suppose I should paint it red really, as that adds 20BHP

I guess I should put the 1380 back together and get it sold...

The above should equate to lots of ponies under the bonnet and if not already purchased a brown seat
100 horses is the target...

I think that charger really suites the mini engine bay.

While I've been waiting to get it home, I managed to sell the webastard sunroof. It's left a small hole behind...

All being well, when pay day comes around I'll be buying a spot welder and a brand new heritage roof skin.
All I need to do is get my blue clubby through a test then I can crack on and get the shell finished.

do you have any further info on how the installation of the supa-dupa-blowa works?
There's a Bruce out in Aus who makes the kit.
It comes with head to blower and blower to carb manifolds, a crank pulley, belt, tensioner, custom engine steady, relays and wiring etc. He provides full instructions. There's a bit of fettling to do to the charger and the exhaust manifolds, but it's essentialy bolt on. The kit costs the best part of £500 including delivery. He'll customise the pulleys so that you can get the right level of boost for you're engine etc.
It's not cheep, but it should be a cracking drive when it's done. You just need a very low compresion engine, or you will melt your pistons.
The thing that lets the Eaten charger conversion down is that the carb is a long way away fom the engine. With the SC12, the carb is a lot closer, so you don't loose you're fuel/air mix on the way to the charger.

As a result i have a gear box left over for this project:

mmm... Jack Knight straight cut...
Also been cocking about with a gauge bracket I got of ebay the other week. I didn't want one of those crappy plastic chavvy things that there are hundreds of. This one is a bit different.

I'm going to mount it here, I just need to make a bracket and weld it to the top metal rail.

Not the final gauges, just some for mock up. I won't be having an ash tray. That should save a few grams...
