When cleaning Bumble today I found some small spherical swirly dotty scratches on the paintwork >_<

One near the top left hand corner of the bootlid, and another just under the drivers door handle!!

JUST THOSE TWO :dontgetit:

They're really weird... how can I describe them.

Well, cut an onion in half, distort the shape so it's slightly oval and replace the lines with very tiny but defined scratches.

They're about the same size as an adults thumb print in total.

They look a bit like the mock-up picture below.

The actual marks are only about the size of a VERY sharp pin-prick.

Yet after washing and polishing with SRP they're still there and easily detectable by lightly rubbing your finger or thumb across them :)

What are they, is it aliens sending me messages :) ^_^ :dontgetit:

Firstly, im loving the description >_<

Secondly, are they scratches (as in indents) or sticking out of the paint? I know it says scratches but you said easily detectable so i thought may be lumps!

In fact I have just realised what they probably are and I am NOT happy >>_<

Some kids threw eggs at the car back at the end of October... one hit the boot and the other hit the drivers door - I wound the window up just in time >:dontgetit:

I cleaned it off as soon as I got home but it was dark and as I didn't see any dints I didn't take it any further.

Guessing they're from the egg as it broke onto the car, unless anyone has any other suggestions.

Little bar-stewards, going to kill one, one day. >:) >:) >^_^

Would have to see pics to say really. I doubt if egg shell would mark the paint.

Not that i mean to say your wrong as you know a lot more than i do! But someone once threw an egg at my car ( >_< 'er ) and i have a 'ring' of chipped paint around it from where it hit! Having said that my paint is in rather bad condition, and yours looks pretty good!

Really? I may have to eat my words! I doubt if fully hardened 2k paint could be marked by eggshell, but you never know.
