just sold some PS2 games and Dvd's but i can't be bothered to go to post office to weigh them.

How much moneys worth of stamps would i need to send them first class?

I'd charge about £2, will probably cost you around £1.50 - £1.70.

I normally charge £2 on Ebay for first class postage and haven't had any problems.

if they weigh 250g or less then its £1.38

a first class stamp is 34p.

actually... a packet is £1.09 or £1.38..... large letter would be 48p for 100g or 70p for 250g

i'll put about a quid on each in stamps though as i charged £4 p+p each.

well... i'm using jiffy's which must cost near on £1 each, then £1 stamps... and £2 to go towards all the other times i had to queue in the post office to sent a parcel/pay a bill.

Queue's would'nt be as long if they didn't try and sell each customer a credit card/broadband/car insurance etc etc... why not just try and get my letters and parcels from A to B first, then if you can get that right without loosing(letting your staff steal) my stuff, maybe you could branch out to other stuff.

It seems they charge what they want now.

I regularly visit the post office to sell bits and pieces I sell on eBay. the nearest P.O. charges me £1.09 to post 100 connectors, but the second nearest office only charges me 48p as they class it as a large letter! pathetic really...

As a guide I charge £1.50 P&P on eBay on most things... which covers it because even if the postage is £1.38 (250g parcel) the jiffy bags I use are about 12p each plus there's the packing and reciept etc.. and obviously eBay fees.. people dont realise it all mounts up

plus a labour rate for inserting the goods into the envelope, petrol, wear on brake discs, depreciation of car due to unnecessary mileage, car park fees time spent taking the damn things from my house to the post office and then the wait.... i just can't take the wait!!!! 7 cashiers desks (1 of which also handles currency exchange via a seperate queue but all the foreigners think that it's a little queue just for them and no one bothers to put them right) and there are only every 2 desks maximum manned at any one time.. and 4 women stood talking at the back..... And they have shut 6 village post offices around here, and 3 little post offices which were also little shops were taken over by TESCO and they just got rid of the post office over night.... as a result, I have just driven to the main post office in town which opens at 9.30am and there are 4 old biddys stood there queueing... in 0 degrees. i went round to the post box's at the side and sure enough the stamp machine was out of order so having parked outside the PO had to walk quarter of a mile to the only news agents open to buy stamps.... ended up buying a chugging Mini Magazine!!!!!!!1

You can get jiffy bags for around 10p each at a £1 shop.

Get down to Staples!

If you're going to be posting a lot of things they're doing buy one get one free on packs of 10 jiffy bags - a CD/DVD sized one works out at 12.5p and the bigger sizes work out at about 15p and 23p for the gigantic ones

ok... so maybe i don't pay so much for em..... but i need to put a convincing case to my buyers!!! i bought a job lot of all different sizes ages ago.
