hello

I have an 1293 cc engine whit a stage 2 head, Jenvey 45 trohle bodie on 5" inlet manifold, fuel injection and electronic spark are controled by a megasquirt motor management. The last time i measured a had 73 HP at flywheel and 100 LBF. if i compared this with other engine whit the same spec i see that i have less power (most engine have +90 HP) but i have more tork, how is this posible? I whould like to have more HP but i dont now what to do....

A.F Racing deal with mega squirt systems, if you type that into google it comes up with their site, they might be able to help you

One way to get more bhp is to increase the torque spread, ie, the power band of the torque.

AF Racing I believe only deal with Megajolt (ignition), not Megasquirt (fuel and ignition).

May I ask why you want more bhp if you already have plenty of torque?

torque is good so i wouldnt worry too much about teh BHP. 100 foot pounds of torque is loads especially for a 1293

Chances are the fueling and ignition are miles off up the top end of the map.

Did you have the management system mapped on a dyno? And if so, id say the top end needs some attention. If not, you need to get this sorted

yes, i mapped the management on a dyno and we din't get more out of the end, thats wy i would like to change my camschaft to a 286 or 296 to get more top end.

If you dont already have a 286 or 296 in there, the 100lbft torque figure is inacurate, especialy on a 1293

I don't now exact what camshaft is in the engine. I bouth i complete at avonbar. But the torque was 100lbft@3600 rpm and 73 hp@4300rpm. I find the rpm range verry low and that wy I think I don't have a 286 or 296 cam in it.
Whit a 286 or 296 cam you normaly have max hp at higher rpm an also torque, or am i wrong?????

The engine goes goed in low rpm, exelent fore street usage, but I want more a high rpm engine. I want a little bit more race engine...
