the 2008 dakar rally has been cancelled due to security reasons out in the african republic of mauritania,, this is the 1st time the rally has been cancelled since it started in 1979,...

Noooooo i cant believe it i absolutly love watching the Dakar Rally, this has to be one of my fav motorsports event after the Le Man 24, such an amazing contest between man and machine

Its not that insecure in africa, the company where i work has just come back from the east africa safari with 5 cars sooo...fairly safe mind you a while back i was welding up a car from last time they went out and there was a bullet hole just behind the driver seat.

thats a dissapointment about dakar.
