I would imagine there is a problem with the database having too many connections or something. Must be a busy period.

Is it just the server getting overloaded with us lot? I get that IPS database message all the time just refresh it and carry on. I thought joomla was for really small servers.

Maybe if we move the BH2N part to another server that will take the pressure off? :-

And the Insomniac Alert thread :- I think everyone must have added at least one message to it! :)

would it help if all the really old topics were deleted ? there's over 550 pages in mini chat going back to 2004 !!!!!

could the cut off date be set a bit lower, or is this a completely unrelated thing ???

Not really. The only take up a very small amount of space in the database. I think its either something wrong with how the server is working at the moment, or the number of people connecting to the database is so high its putting the current server under too much strain.

Even if we deleted the old topics we're still going to have the same number of people connecting to TMF.

Mine is back to normal now. And we still have the same amount of users on line.

Has someone pushed some buttons?
