Hello Everybody! :-

Please bear with me, as I've no idea what I'm talking about!

But...

Is there any way of increasing the bluetooth power to create better connectivity?

Reason that I'm asking is that whenever I try to connect my phone to my iMac, they can't find each other. I've tried moving the phone closer to the computer itself and then moving it further away, but they very rarely connect properly!

And just tonight, I've had problems with my wireless keyboard and mouse. They're both bluetoothed to my iMac, but seem to lose connection every now and then and then it takes ages to reconnect!

Many thanks! :)

Try seeing if there's an updated driver available, and didn't you just have to save your mac from a dysfunctional table? Maybe you accidentally knocked something?

Never seen this problem before and I basically spend time around so many Macs they might as well be bacteria.

Yep, my dysfunctional table incident: :-

I caught the Mac though and I don't think the keyboard fell too far! :)

However - I had the bluetooth problem with my phone before then. It's never really connected as it should! But I thought that was because I'd dropped my phone one too many times!

But I've now got a brand spanking new one, and that still doesn't work right! :-

Whether or not there is such a thing for a Mac I don't know but external Bluetooth antennae are available for lots of devices and work a lot better than relying on an internal unit. There is a difference between high and low power Bluetooth too, low power only works up to about 30 feet I think but high power runs all the way to 300. See if there is a setting for that in your system. If it's set to high and you are working really close to the source then you would get lots of noise on the connection, or if it's set to low and there is a lot of interference or absorbtion or reflection of the signal then high might work better. Whether that is a selectable setting I don't know but there are definitely a couple of different power levels for Bluetooth devices.

Have you tried deleting the mac from the phones list of bluetooth devices and then repairing them??
My computer didnt used to want to connect with my phone. But i deleted it on my phone then repaired them and its been fine ever since.
