If anyone fancy's a bit of rally spectating this coming Sunday I'll be entering the above rally - first car away about 9.15 am.

Look out for car 89! Seeded entry list below, only our second ever rally so seeded last for this one but hey the only way is up!!

Shame, as I'd love to come and watch, but typically I doublt I'll be able to get a load up there to make it worth while me traveling

Shame you guys cant make it some cracking motors out.

I think the mini has got its hands full on this one - quite a few in class 1 up to 1400 cc, but Im gonna ring its F***ing neck to within 95% of its life , saving 5% to finish the rally!

Shes just had a brand new clutch, oil and filter change and is ready to rock!

Kirky - who is the Dorking bloke who does the heritage races in his 2 minis? I've never managed to catch him to speak to him, but I've seen his motors on Falkland Rd.

Well it was a day of ups and downs really - started very well. We started at the back as were newbies as car 89 and by the time we had done the second stage we had progress up to 76th overall. Then our clutch problems occured again as the guy who had fixed it previously shortened the slave cylinder rod to much and we lost all gears just before we started stage 3. Thought it was game over until the paddock saw our plight and loads of mechanics came over and somehow got her going again. Although we missed stage 3 and were 5 mins to late for stage 4! That meant two stage maximums adding approx an extra 8 mins to our time if we had managed to run those stages.Near impossible to make up in the last four stages. Anyway we were back with vengance and with a switch to Yoko AO32rs's we were determined to finish. We we managed to finish alright and managed to catch the back of the pack up again getting our 76th place back in the bargain.

Another day of if onlys as we could have been challenging for a class podium finish.

BUT on the other hand the Mini was definetly the darling of Croft with all the Marshalls waving and cheering us on all the way. Kind of makes up for it really.

Oh well engine out again!!!
