Hello all! I have the London to Brighton Run application form now, so will need to get people's details and money at the next 2 club meetings. It is no cheaper applying through the club, so if you are unsure at this stage if you are going or not, then you can apply through the forms printed in the next few issues of MiniWorld. There are 6 places available for a possible club stand. These places are only £18. If more than 6 people want to go on the club stand then we will put names in a hat. Club stand participants cannot take part in the run from crystal palace to brighton, and also they will need to be prepared to transport and set up the club stand equipment and the weapon of choice for the soapbox challenge!
the next club meeting is at the frog and orange pub, shatterling, this monday, 14th jan, starting at 8pm.

Hello all,
Sorry for the lack of contact over the last couple of months, various commitments at home and work are taking up all my time at the moment.....
For those that don't know, i have the London to Brighton application form in my posession. The run is taking place on Sunday 18th May.
I will be posting it off in just over a weeks time, so will need to see people at the Frog and Orange this coming monday 11th feb to take their details and money. Sorry for the short notice, but hopefully by getting this sent off sooner rather than later we wil have a better chance of obtaining a club stand. This year there are only 12 club stands available, as opposed to 15 last year, due to space restrictions.
There are 6 spaces available on the possible club stand, of which i have automatically given 2 to paul and alan colyer who will hopefully be taking the go kart along, so this leaves 4 spaces for people. spaces are £18 each, and if we are unsuccesful in obtaining a club stand then the applicants will be given general run tickets instead. If more than 4 people want a club stand ticket, then we will put names in a hat and draw them out on Monday 11th at the club meet.
General run tickets are priced and £25 plus i ask for £1 on top to cover my postage and stationary costs.
IT IS NO CHEAPER APPLYING THROUGH THE CLUB, NOR IS IT A GUARANTEE OF A TICKET. YOU CAN APPLY YOURSELF THROUGH THE COUPONS CURRENTLY IN MINIWORLD MAGAZINE!!
IF YOU ARE UNDECIDED ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING YET IN MAY, THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO APPLY YOURSELF THROUGH THE MAGAZINE.
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE CLUB MEETING ON MONDAY, THEN PLEASE SEND A CHEQUE TO ME, MADE PAYABLE TO 'KENTISH MINI CLUB', FOR £26, ALONG WITH YOUR CAR DETAILS AND T-SHIRT SIZE, AND SEND IT TO:
Richard Pinchin, 4 Deal Castle Road, Deal, Kent. CT14 7BB.
You can contact me on the phone on 07753 766027, or email me on [email protected]

if you are succesful in getting a ticket through the magazine then you are unable to go on a stand, because the magazine tickets are for the run itself from london to brighton, whereas club stand applicants have to go straight to brighton for around 8.00-8.30 time to setup the stand, and as such cannot do the run itself. if you are interested in going on the club stand then please come along to the meeting on monday, where we will decide on the 4 members who will be applying for a possible stand ticket.
