Hi guys,
Im really keen to do this conversion and ive read the articles and watched the video on it. Althoguh im in Australia and im worried about the differing models.
From what i can tell ( and correct me if im wrong) this is what i need:
Fiesta mk1 or mk2 calipers
Mini Dusc brake hubs
Braided drum brake hoses
Any Austin or metro vented disc brakes drive flanges
Could anyone be a champion and tell me what the year models and full names of the cars that these parts come out of as well as pics of the car just to confirm where they are coming out of.
It would be a complete life saver!
Cheers from Australia!

"spacer drums" are the late type of rear brake drums, which have a different offset to push the wheels out further.
You do not actually need them for the conversion, it´s just that your car might look quite stupid with a wide track at the front and the original narrow width at the rear.
I´m doing the conversion myself at the moment and I have plenty of new calipers with carriers to play with.
As my car is on Cooper S Minilites without arch extensions, I´m trying to find a way to fit the Fiesta setup without the Metro drive flanges as well.
The Ford donor should be a Fiesta MKI or MKII built from 1976 up to 1989.
Ford part numbers for the calipers are : 6143449, 6185315, 6187315, 84FB2L231AC, 88FB2L231AA (not sure if that´s left or right side)
The Mini hubs should be 10 or 12 (all 1985 on) inch disc brake, I think you need the driveshafts as well.

Thanks heaps mate!
Just a couple more questions.. .
For the fiesta parts are these just all the different model of ford fiesta calipers i can use or i need all of those parts?
6143449, 6185315, 6187315, 84FB2L231AC, 88FB2L231AA
Also when you say mini disc hubs.. I thought u could use the hub off the standard mini drum brake setup? So i need to get a hub from a mini standard disc brake setup??
Finally "ksm" why dont you want to use the metro drive flanges? and have you found a way around them? Also what model of metro do i get the drive flanges off?
Thanks for the help really appreciated as i want to get this all ready for when my shell comes back from the spray shop. Ill post pics soon:)

The part numbers given where just cross references.
This means all of them will fit. It is just that manufacturers have a habit of branding the same part with lots of different numbers.
You will need indeed the disc-brake hub, the one form the drum setup won´t do.
I don´t want to use the Metro driveflanges as they push the wheels outwards by ca 8mm.
For my car this would mean the addition of wheelarch extensions as proper cover of rotating parts (eg wheels) is mandatory here in Germany.
It is just about personal taste, nothing technical (allthough there might be others who tell you about spoilt handling characteristics etc).
At the moment I´m having a set of carriers machined (slimmed down) to fit standard flanges. I´ll be able to tell more once I´ve got the parts back.
If you don´t mind arches, any Metro hub from a vented disc setup is fine for you.
Don´t let anybody fool you with "ultra special turbo-only-flanges" for an unreasonable price, though.
There is nothing special about the flanges - most Metros had these after 1984.
Should you encounter problems sourcing the brake-parts in Australia, just PM me.
