Hi, Just thought I'd mention this, dont know if anyone has posted already on the subject. There has been a number of cases where hackers have managed to log on to other peoples MSN messenger and send out further worm/ virus/ spyware whatever via a message. My dads account got hacked before christmas and more recently my brother and mums accounts got done. Ive had lots of different messages and they look genuine because they come from someone on your contact list. They say stuff like "Can I upload this pic on my bebo page" or "I have just made this in photoshop, what do you think?" and then a file is attached. PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THESE FILES! This is what has happened to loads of people I know including family as mentioned.
Once you open the file it places itself on your PC and then they can access all your passwords etc and then use your account to further spread more viruses.
So if you get a message through MSN from a contact asking you to look at a pic or whatever DO NOT ACCEPT!!

After many of years spent working with and around msn as i lived in the house and many hours chatting to pros about it MSN/WLM accounts cannot be hacked, the way they are so called "hacked" is by guessing passwords and guessing personal questions and data, and they also send false msn/wlm emails asking for details and people do fall for them.
People then use these details and do what ever to your account they want. Another way to do such things it pass on viruses which then pass on through your contacts list, you have to accept these links or files to receive the virus, but only idiots will click yes and accept it or view it. Then there is the spyware route which is another good one, while its sat on your computer it will collect details rtyped on the keyboard i.e. msn details, bank details, any other accountdetails and so on.
So be careful, dont be a f***ing idiot
