Just had a Netto Flyer through the door advertising this weeks baragins and there's an Electric Hoist at £39.99 which sounds cheap to me (you will obhiuosly need something to hang it on but hey, there's always a way??

Spec - 230v, 500w, 5 to 10 m/min lift speed, 6 to 12m lift height and 125 to 250kg lift capacity (mini engine size??)

I have one of these i use as an engine hoist. I also have mounted it so it can slide side to side, seems very good, although have only used it to take an engine out so far.

The only problem i have found with it, is that its a tad urgent.... you don't get much warning if the engine is still stuck on something, as it just carries on lifting lol. Also it only lifts at one speed, i have doubled the winch up so it lifts at half speed but its still a little quick
