Ok,
I'm sat here brasso'ing my headlamp grills (looking abit rusty).
How do I keep my grills/bumpers/over riders free from rust?
I was tempted to paint them, is that a good solution?
Or is there a way to keep them shiney and protected?

Paint the inside with what kinda paint? any?
What kind of coatings protect the outside?
Sounds crazy but i have some Clear protective lacquer. The kind used to coat Printed circuit boards, recon that is any good?
I'm going to try it on the headlamp grills, because they are cheap and easy to change out.

Are they not stainless? I fitted over riders to my car today and the bumpers where in great condition. I made sure I fitted all the bolts with copperslip too.
The only thing that didnt go to plan was the rear bumper mounting studs sheared off, but you can get these from Minispares
