how much does it cost to have a a panel replaced by a garage just one side thanks

Moved to paint detailing and bodywork.

I would imagine it's cost you about £100 just to fit the panel, but if you wanted it painting, you would have to do the wing, and scuttle too, as the A panel is welded to them. And if you wanted the colour 100%, you'd have to paint the door too. So for all that, it'd be about £300 to do it all properly.

Cut off the original A panel off ...................................................... £30
A panel ................................................................................
.......£15
New A panel, fettle lip over to fit......................................................£40
Prime new A Panel ........................ ...............................................£40
Prepare surrounding panels............................................................£40
Mask all panels from overspray.......................................................£30
Apply basecoat + material...............................................................£40
Apply laquer x 3 Coats+ material....................................................£30
Demask car / flatten / polish............................................................£50


These are rough estimates from someone who plays at bodywork repairs without investing in the huge sums for ovens etc etc
