Hi Folks, has anybody ever tried to fit a set of the round Fiat coupe rear lights to a mini ?

if yes, how difficult was it, and can you post some pics ?

Been done a few times, although I think they were just lights from kit car places, since the Coupe lights are a touch on the large size, although it could probably be done.

You simply plate over the old hole for the rear lights, get four metal tubes made up, then weld them into the rear panel.

If you want something a bit different I'm selling these LED items, that do sidelights, reverse and brakes.

Cheers Jammy, going to mess around tonight with photshop and see what the coupe lights will look like, don't think I'll go for the LED lamps but cheers anyways, I'll post up the picture from photoshop once I'm finished.

Dont forget, you'll need a modified or aluminium fuel tank - where the lights go clashes with the standard fuel tank.

this is dominic sandfords version - very well done and I hope he doesn't mind me posting this pic, but you can see his modified tank, mine is similar and sits into the spare wheel well.

Cheers Roofless, I was planning on changing the tank anyway, the plan is a motorsport theme, so aluminium fuel cell, carbon battery box will be in the back. I'm going to go for a classic pearl white main body with carbon boot skin, carbon roof skin and carbon bonnet, finished off with carbon GP5 arches, and carbon bumbers.

I'm in the process of laying down the plans, but before I can start I've to move house (and country, off to belgium) for a new job in march.

cheers for all the pics......
