Reeties, little update.

Lily is no longer sat on my drive, she is now down at the fellas unit awaiting her engine!! I went down all of Sunday and we got the block and head built up. We need to still attach the block to the gearbox and the the head to the block, but hopefully its all going to be finished being built up on thursday evening. Then it will be dropped in! We'd got her up on the ramp ready on Sun, but it was one of those days where nothing went smoothly Im hoping that she'll be running at the weekend! Fingers crossed eh!

Im now pushing to get Lily done in time to go to Bingley on the 25th.

Stuff that still needs doing is:

*Get the engine built back up (it just needs bolting together really)
*Get the engine back in the car
*Get everything connected to it
*Get it running
*Get it running smoothly!!
*Run the engine in and give her an oil change!



Im hoping to get it all done before the show!

Right, the engine is slowly getting there. The block and gearbox are now attached, the head is nearly finished, but we had to order another valve and the place keep sending the wrong one

Hopefully, 3rd time looking and the one they deliver tomorrow should be the right one, then that needs putting in and the head can go back on.

Im really hoping it will all be done tomorrow and then it can go in on friday! I have my fingers tightly crossed!

The engine is now back in We've started connecting things, but have been struggling with the gear linkage pin

Im really hoping shes going to be fixed for Bingley

We didnt get anything to done today Had to go get my mum a birthday pressie and then had work

have you got some axel stands ? or if you have are they not giving you enough clearance?

Yeah, shes up on axle stands! We had to take the front wheels off to get the drive shafts back in.

The gear linkage pin is now back in!! I spent about half an hour trying to get it back in this morning then someone I know whos a Mini guru turned up and within seconds in was in!

Im really hoping that we'll get further later on, maybe even running if im lucky! Just waiting for my mate to get all his jobs out of the way!

Lily is now on my mates ramp! The exhaust manifold is now in and all the ball joints have been replaced! Shes very close to being done now, im going down in the morning to hopefully finish her! Fingers crossed for me please!
