We got her running last night, but not well at all. Today she got nicely set up so shes running sweet as a nut! Also fitted the remaining things, I had to put anew choke cable in.

I need to nip to Minits tomorrow to get a new fuel needle valve cause she keeps squirting fuel out of the float chamber. Then its just a matter of bolting bits on to make her look like her old self again, then she needs a good wash!

Ive nearly done 200 miles in her now since the rebuild

She made it to Bingley and back yesterday with no problems at all, in fact it was a lovely drive, even decided to take a longer way back

Since her old parcel shelf had gone mouldy from her sitting outside for so long, I thought it would be best to get a new one!

I ordered one from Chris at Retro Retrims along with some new door pocket liners and wheel arch covers. Once again top notch work and Im chuffed to bits with my parcel shelf. I asked him to do me a bit of fancy threading and this is what he came up with!

i just read youre thread start to finish and i am so impressed! never knew a relitivly standard advantage could look that good! very arty pics by the way! lol really need to get my Advantage (James) looking as good as Lily!!! need my new a panels but where did you get your new graphics from? i have the same problem with my decals being t-cut-ed away! did you get your head painted up in the end? iv seen hytheperformance do a clear fan if your still wanting a nice one! lol du want to swap then you can have all the fun of getting her look that good all over again! hehe! well this has inspired me to get him all looking goodagain! and DAMN do those arches look sexy on her! lol i didnt have the problem with the stage one kit and fuel evaporating but i did manage to mealt through my battery cable because of the extra width in the exhaust sandwiching the cable between the exhaust and the tunnel! didnt notice this as i was in a hury to get it done for rolling road the next day! crawling under the car in the dark with a torch at 10 o clock isnt fun! especialy when you've just nearly had youre boot on fire! whoops! lol
anyway i love it!!! keep it up! post us some pics of her all up together!

Matt, Its nice to see another Advantage with the stickers on it, its a rare thing nowadays! I was lucky with my decals and got them off ebay, if you keep an eye out they pop up every now and then. Theyre the genuine rover spares. You could also ask around a few car graphics places if they could make you a set, ideally though they need to be screen printed to look like the originals Ive tried to keep her looking pretty original, or do mods that are in keeping! I havent painted the head yet Im gonna wait until the summer when its warmer!

Ill get some pictures of her back together when I get chance to take her somewhere nice!
