I will do at some point, but I want to be 100% sure the oils coming from there first as it looks like its going to be a pain to do.

At least Lily will be getting some new coolant afterwards. Every cloud i suppose lol.

Shes had plenty of new coolant over the last few months! And a new radiator!

Saz, you can get some UV Dye to put in the oil and find leaks. Powerwash the engine removing all the old oil marks and then put some of the uv dye in, run the engine and using the uv pen you can see where the leaks are from

Not updated this in a while, since Lilys been motoring along quite nicely, with the only problem at the minute being the oil leak!! Only thing thats really been done is Ron fitted an 'ultimate' engine steady to stop the exhaust from coming apart again, its shocking the difference it makes to driving her.

II think the next thing is Bodywork! Today I went down to a local bodyshop where the fella had his van done, to get a quote for doing the little bits and bobs that I want sorting. Theres a few little bits that are really doing my head in and I want them sorted for the winter, or else there just going to get worse.

-Under the headlights
-Sills tidy up
-Front valance
-Rear valance

Think hes gonna sort them out and then respray the front end and maybe the other side. But Im waiting for him to get back in touch with a price, but he didnt think it would too big a job.

Well Im quite proud of the Lilster, shes managed to do 600 miles with no problems! For Lily this is very good! Shes still leaking oil, really need to get it sorted, but it looks like shes losing more than she actually is and I just keep topping it up.

Ive also fitted some new door seals to her today, was quite impressed I managed to get them on myself with a little mallet! Bought her some for the rear quarter windows too as they could do with changing. My doors are hard to close now, but Im glad ive managed to get rid of the little gap at the top of the door where water was getting in when I washed her or it rained heavily!

Took Lily to MITP yesterday and she was on the Minis With Attitude clubstand!

3rd time lucky?!!!

The engine is being taken out for the 3rd time. Lilys had a really bad oil leak for a while and we were hoping it was the timing cover gasket, so took her in today to have it looked at and its not that! Its the gearbox seal

The guy doing it reckons she'll be done tomorrow afternoon though

At least the leak has been found though now . No more worries about holding oil.

Just hope that she'll work properly for a while though without any leaks!!
