Ive been a busy bee tidying my garage to make a Lily shaped hole in there! Finally got her in yesterday!



Ill still be using her until her tax runs out at the end of the month, then she'll be off the road until the grits gone. Might see about possibly sending her to the bodyshop for a tidy up before the shows next year!

Excellent! Is there space for a Henny shaped hole too? *looks hopeful*

I think it's planned for about the 20th September? I know its ages away You said last year you were considering it

We shall have to see closer to the time!

I've got a date now for lily going to the bodyshop. 1st of febuary!
She's going to be in there for a couple of weeks max and I've got to get her windscreen, lights etc to keep the cost down! Hopefully get her brakes done as well when she's back. Sooooo, hopefully she'll be all ready for her tax on the1st of march!

Bits she's having done:
-front seams tidied up to get rid of bubbling
-sills smartened up
-repair on doorstep
-valances tidied up
-around front windscreen tidied up

I think that's everything, the only bit she needs replacing that I know of is the bit of rust in her passenger door step, the rest is just tidying up and repainting. I'm looking forward to getting her done, but will miss her!

Just booked her in to have her brakes sorted after the bodyshop!

Also getting some new wheels for my birthday and then taking Lily on a trip to Wales!

Started taking bits off the front of Lily today ready for her trip! Im taking the bits off to keep the cost of the work down!

Still need to take her windscreen out, the back bit of the lights, back bit of the indicators, side repeaters, arches, ariel, fog light, back bumper and the grille surround bit off the bonnet. Oooo and her badge! So quite a lot to do!

I finished taking Lily apart and dropped her off at the bodyshop this morning!

Got her a few bits and bobs from the show for putting her back together, a few different little touches!

Also picked up her new wheels! They look fab!

She should be done in 2 weeks max, I cant wait to pick her up! Missing her already

OMG!! Fairly new to the forum but i've just read through 23 pages of this thread....what am i letting myself in for owning an 85 Ritz?? Seems like you've had some grief over the years but your patience and cash and time seem to have paid off!

Very nice car, the interior is gorgeous, very unique.

i though the interior in ours was nice...it is completely original and mint but not exactly stylish. I've recently more or less rebuilt ours (it seems that way)

Lily is a credit to you Saz, you must be very proud...and slightly obsessed

I'm sure your ritz will be fine, i was just unlucky! Finally though she's getting there, she was running great before I took her off the road and she still seemed ok putting her on the tow truck today! Really can't wait to drive her again, but still have to wait a month.

Everything was fine, it was just me being paranoid she looked sorry for herself, all her little face had been rubbed back but progress was coming along nicely! really can't wait to get her back home! she should be ready beginning of next week!

So last night I had the best drive ever! Lily is offically back on the road for the summer! (??!)

I picked her up from the bodyshop at 10am yesterday, she was looking pretty bare and sorry for herself, so I got her dropped off at my mechanics who helped me put her back together again.

Had to fit everything back to her windscreen, headlights, indicators, side repeaters, numberplate, grille, fog light.
Also got my new wheels fitted!

After a day of working on her! Still need to fit the arches, bumpers and then put her interior back in.

And ive gone for black windscreen inserts, ditching a bit of the chrome!



Shes had all her seams in her wings coated in waxoyl, yum!

So, what do you think?!

Although from the pictures she looks pretty much the same! Just no bubbles anymore!
