I started trying to get bits off the engine ready to take it out, I managed to throw water everywhere but that was about it!!

Hey Sazal, thought i'd come see how lily was doing sorry to hear about her engine, but at least you'll know the engine's a good one after it's been rebuilt loving the white wheels and interior, seriously cool and still original looking, splendid!!

Yay!! Lilys engine is out!

Took a few piccys throughout the day!

This was just after we'd started:



Hehe, we put her front in the garage so we didnt get wet!



Once most the things had been disconnected we wheeled her outside to disconnect the driveshafts:



We that got attached the engine to the hoist!...



..and started lifting!



The engine is now sat in my garage ready to be taken away!



And we put Lilys bonnet back on, so shes looking a bit more like her old self! Minus an engine and she also looks a bit like a monster truck!



Next, its off to be rebuilt, but first I have to take a pricey visit to Min-its for all the bits!

I just want to say a huge thanks to Jackman for all the advice!

Sowee to hear about Lilys ickle heart is porrly ick sarah
Im sure she will be better soon though

I was thinking of doing some engine mods originally but now im thinking if it aint broke dont fix it.
I think Boris will eventually get a k&n filter element(but keeping the original airbox)
A better exaust(simple but not too blingy)
And maybe a nice rocker cover but we are leaving him at that

We love what youve done to Lily shes just right and luv the way youve still kept her "Advantage" identity we will be doing similar with Boris

When finished Boris will be unique and have his own identity but without being too blingy or naf,we luv the fact he,s a sprite and very proud of him

Looking at Lily going into the garage youd never know she was poorly ick

Aww, thankies!

That is 100% true, if it aint broke dont fix it! You could always look at a stage 1 kit, it will make him a bit quicker and he'll have a new exhaust and air filter, although ive not had too much look with mine, dont think Lily appreciated it!!

Shes still the only car in my life! I couldnt go on the Mazdas insurance after all

Ive just read this project update... dont worry about the advice, im just really glad you got the engine out in a day Will be back together in no time and still looks good with no engine

Yay! My engine should be being picked up either tomorrow or saturday to go away and be fixed!

Work should start on it tomorrow, so if it does ill update! Although, I dont think anyone cares!

What exactly is being done to the engine? I read the last few pages the other day but I have a memory like something I can't remember the name of.
