Not that I know of, but I hammerited it about a year or so ago, ive tried to get the hammerite off, but I reckon its that that could be causing it. The hammerites reacted really bad with the normal paint when we did it, as we spray a couple of bits next to it. Stupid hammerite :)

Ive taken some pics of it:

This is where its worse:

Yeah its a good chance it is the hammerite, best remove it all and try again... i think its the type of paint that it is.

Sazal.... if your going out for sandpaper why not get some nitromors and then push your car into the garage so it keeps dry.

You will need to paint it tho before putting it back in the rain.

Its made by hammerite, its some paint that you put in the areas that are more likely to get hit by stones and whatnot, like the arches, floor pans and valances :( It just stops stones chipping the paint off and then it rusting :D

Upol Gravitex is a lot better stuff, it doesn't react with the primer or top coat like Hammerite stonechip does. :D

We have top coat on the valance! In the end I got the fella to do it, as hes pretty good! I rubbed it down with wet and dry before he sprayed it to make it smooth! :) I couldnt mask in the join because there was a little bit of rust above it which needed spraying so I had to mask it off just above, so in a couple of weeks im going to cut the line back where the new paint starts and hopefully blend it in :P

I now need to take the arches off and do the rear valance and I also want to respray at the front where the front of the arch starts  I still have to scrape 2 and a half wheel arches, then undercoat and theres a bit more tidying and painting of the engine bay I want to do :) So much to do, im bored of painting! :P

Still not really any progress with the engine, its completely taken apart now and im hoping to get the list on Monday! :)
