i use shell vpower or whatever it is
You'll not get that at Morrison's every morning

I did go through a phase of keeping mpg figures; I found Shell Optimax (as it was then) made the car feel smoother, but actually lost about 5 - 10% on mpg.

My old company car was like a ballistic missile on Vpower / optimax, but ran like a pig on tesco's special mix. My fleet manager gave me a real hard time because he wanted us to use the cheapest possible, even though it felt like it was killing the car.

Also Morrisons buy a much cheaper grade of Petrol which is very bad for the engine.
I shall steer clear of them next time i'm low

The ECU learns the fuel you are using and adjusts the running of the engine accordingly so if you go from premium 98ron to regular 95ron then you will notic the mini will run rough for a while whilst it learns the optimised settings for that particular fuel
The Mini ECUs are NOT that clever. The ignition timing is NOT adaptive

Gives the car a bit of a better kick.
However lately regardless of what fuel I stick in the bugger, I can't get it to run right
