Hi all
it's been a while since i have had chance to sit down and post anything, i've been tring to crack on with the mini as I ( wife actually) is expecting a baby any day now.

I've got the car turning over but she just doesn't seem to want to catch/fire, i have fuel coming through and my next step is to check the spark side of things, i would like to check the condition of the plugs but as they seem buried halfway in the engine i wanted to seek advice on removal before i end up with a stripped down engine.

****I have just found out why i was having trouble, the spark plug socket was not coming into contact with the plug 'because the tube was filled with dust/sh*t, after gentle persuasion with a bloody long screwdriver and air blower the tube cleared and the plug is out.*****

Am i right in presuming that you can still check for a spark by removing an ignition coil sticking a plug in the end and checking as per normal.

Any help is always greatfully received

thanks
