i use nero and burn as data cd but doubt that matters.
buy a cd player that plays wma files aswel as the file sizes are smaller but are better quality. best ive had is 12 albums on a cd....

Depends on quality to be honest quite a lot. I've got similar-length songs ranging in file size from 2 to 10 megs a piece, depending on quality.
I'm against WMA so try to avoid using it as much as possible, but it is better if you're aiming for the more lowerqualitybutsmallerfilesize approach as at low bitrates, the same size of WMA will be slightly better than MP3, although at those bitrates they will both be not the best.
I try to not go below 160-192kbps for my songs and when possible record to 320.
But 180 - 200 songs sounds about right for an average CD.
