Hi

Got myself a stage 1 kit with alloy inlet manifold. I'd like to know where i could get a blanking plug for the threaded hole at the top. What has anybody else used in their car??

Thanks for any advice.

you have the manifold for a brake servo'd mini, get intouch with the company who sent you the stage one kit and get a manifold that doesn't have the threaded section for the servo

Or go buy a big bolt that'll fit in there. I have mine blanked off by putting an old engine tie-bar bush around the standard servo take-off bolt and tightening it up so that the hole in the bolt is sealed off by the bush...

yeah i had this problem when putting a servo'd inlet manifold on a non-servo'd mini, i just took the banjo bolt (which admittedly you wont have) to my local nut 'n' bolt emporium and said one like this but shorter ie without the non-threaded bit with the hole in the middle and they came up with a suitable bolt. Just make sure you use a copper washer underneath it to provide a good seal. Or better still as cowboy says get the proper manifold!

Just take the manifold to your local hardware place and get them to give you a bolt for it. If you ring the suplier of the manifold, they will probly only send you a bolt for it anyway. It should cost less than a quid.
