Sorry to have to reserect this thread....but shes doing it again! >_<

Im 99% sure that its the brake pad grinding on the disc and it seems to get worse the warmer she is? I got my stepdad to put some copper grease on my brake pads last night, but its still doing it.

Anyone got any ideas of how else I can stop it?!

Thanks!

Mine does this.

Its like a squeaky, rubber on rubber kind of noise.

More apparent the faster Im going, until a certain speed when I think exhaust note is louder and I cant hear it. It also goes away when I brake.

Mine is the inner CV. Its worn, I took it to bits and re-greased it, and it stopped, but a few days later it started again.

Good luck.

Ok, we have two threads going on here!

Samuel:

What was the condition of the bearing like when you changed it. How easy did the outer race of the new bearing go into the hub? Was there any evidence of the outer race spinning in the hub? I say this because a bad bearing that is left can force the outer race to spin inside the hub, wearing it larger, so you will never get the same fit, even when fitting a new bearing - and the same will happen.

Same to Sazal, did you personally fit the bearings?

I got my boyfriend to change them as he know what hes doing! At the same time he put a brand new hub on!

Im am 95% sure that the noise mine is making is the pads grinding on the discs, I just dont know how to stop them from doing it!!

:xxx:

Could be down to sticky caliper pistons stopping the pads from backing off after you brake take the pads out (one at a time) and push the pistons in 'n out until they move freely.
