Hi, ive got a 93 spi mini with the oil pipe without the banjo bolt. its got like an olive and nut. anyway the old pipe was nackered so i bought a new braided type one from mini spares for later engines with a 12a engine number which mine is. when i came to fit it, it fit fine at the block end but the filter end it was too large. i took it back to minispares and they said it was strange because it was the later type block fitment and earlier type filter head fitment, and the only thing they could surggest was changing the filter head to the later one but they dont sell them. does anyone have one or know where i can get one? thanks Rob

Erm, Minispares.... Simon@Minispares.com told you he can get you an adapter, and he has a Minispares banner in his signature.

Send him a PM and he'll be able to sort you out an order.

Hello Simon,

I have a similar problem in that I need a new filter housing for my 1993 Tahiti as my old one leaks.I already have a braided oil feed pipe for the later 12A engine, but my plan is to buy a new filter housing for the earlier A+ (as I can get hold of one of these cheaper) and buy an adapter from yourselves. How much would an adapter cost as I am pretty desperate to get the car on the road ?

Cheers,

Simon (not at minispares)

Hello Simon,

I phoned minispares this morning to enquire about getting the adaptor for my later 1275 block with an earlier filter housing and the chap I spoke to said that they werent stocked. He did however point me in the direction the supplier of the pipes, but I couldnt find it on the internet (he mentioned "camel toe").
Can you (or qnyone) help me further as I already have the later type braided oil feed pipe but cannot attach it to the earlier filter housing.
