I'm fitting a new steering rack, all done, just need to tighten the bolts that hold the track rod ends into the steering arms.
BUT! The bolts are designed to rotate in the steering arms as you steer, so they just turn as I try to tighten the nut.
I can't see a way of stopping the bolts turning, but there MUST be a way!
Answers on a postcard, or alternatively..............post on here:
Cheers!

If I understand what you're saying you mean the ball joint on the track-rod end is just spinning in the steering arm??
The easy way around that is to apply a bit of pressure from underneath the track-rod end with a jack and a block of wood (safely!). That should push the ball-joint neatly into its taper and allow you to tighten the nut...

Yep, that works thanks! Only problem is the bolts seem to be slighlty larger ont he new rack than on the old one!
