Hi All...

I have a 2.0 16v Mini Clubman & want to fit the astra digi dash in as the old smiths clocks are mechanical & don't do anything except light up, show amount of fuel etc ... At the minute im using a halfords bike speedo which tells me spot on but is useless in the dark, hence the digi dash.

Got all the bits I need except the haynes manual is confusing me... via the 16vminiforum Ive got this much info... can anyone advise me if they are correct?? I need to know what each pin corresponds to in order to fit the digi dash.

Pin 01 - G/W = Right Ind
Pin 02 - G/U = Temperature gauge sender???
Pin 03 - Not Used
Pin 04 - U/W = Main beam warning light
Pin 05 - B = Permanent Live
Pin 06 - G/R = Left Ind
Pin 07 - Not Used
Pin 08 - W = Ignition live
Pin 09 - Not Used
Pin 10 - Y/N = Charging Light
Pin 11 - W/N = Oil light??
Pin 12 - R/G to R = Dash Illumination

B = Black, G = Green, U = Blue, N = Brown, Y = Yellow, W = White, R = Red

Cheers In Advance

BUT, Ive pulled all my dash out, and theres a wire comming form the clocks. It goes to nowhere, But its got a stripped end...

Ive tested it and its not live... Should I just earth it?

Good god no! Find out what it is for first.

I don't know the pinouts for the Astra dash, but I do know the Astra GTE version uses different engine senders from the standard Astra version so you'll need all the right parts. And the Mini fuel sender won't work with the Astra dash. The Astra wiring codes are German spec and the Mini are British Standard spec and you should be able to find a copy of each standard on the web and compare the two. You will need tp play with the wiring for the brake fluid warning switch a little as well and convert it to the Astra system. Should be simple enough.

Of course you probably knew all that already, but I hope that some of it was helpful.

@ Binge... What dan said, find out what it does first...

Cheers dan..

Got the pin outs for Astra, it's the mini loom I'm struggling with... but thanks for the info about the fuel etc... didn't know that!!!

You any idea what the Black & Brown wires do on a mini loom??

Been told the black is Perm Live, then told that black is always earth/ground
Brown i think is unfuzed Live...

Any ideas??
Cheers again
