So being objective...

Mild steel is cheaper

Stainless systems dont rust

Which would you recommend to someone about to buy an exhaust system?

This is from not just a looks perspective but value for money.. all things considered.

stainless is more expencive put, if you think that you pretty much get a lifetime quarantee with it. so you should only have to buy the one.

on the other hand if you don't think you will keep the mini that long then a mild steel complete system is the way to go, as it will be much cheaper.

the stainless steel ones i have found to be quiteter. so if you want loudness get the mild steel, they give more of a rasp sound,

Mild steel all the way through, IMO ten times stronger than S/S, you've meerly got to look at a stainless steel system and they dent....

And Stainless does that horrible, tink tink tink when they are cooling... tinny horrible things...

but..

For bling factor, S/S has to be tops.. but theres nothing worse than a dirty S/S system.

If your interested in power figures initially there's no difference between the two but after many cold morning starts and loads of hard driving the inners of the main pipe and box starts to corrode and vus looses you power. Stainless all the way I say mate.
