Rear Fog Light on my 97 Cooper's not working, the switch inside don't even light up, Bulbs good connections in the boot are good, had a look in the manual and I see there's an inline fuse anyone got any ideas where it is because I couldn't find it.
Cheers.

should usually be in the engine bay close to the middle (where on older minis the carbs were sitting, didn't get the right word for this. if i'm not completely wrong the wires should be light blue/orange...

good luck searching...

Cheers chaps,
I will have a poke about tonight, If my memory serves me correctly there's some insulation stuff on that bulkhead. Will post my findings or not tomorrow.

Not on a '97 car it isn't. You should have the internal fuse box which means there's no line fuses, just the main fuse box. You are testing it with the side lights turned on aren't you? It doesn't work on it's own.

It's a july 97 but it's a single point injection so I'm assuming in Haynes terms it's a 96. It does have an inline 15A fuse near the 3 yellow relays on the nearside inner wing by the big finned brain box. So I am assuming it should have an inline. Couldn't look last night as someone came to buy the Thirty.

if its an SPI you will still have a fuse box under the bonnet its more like to be the bulb holder in the fog light at fault mine was ???

this is a good mod to do ?

remover your old foglamp and use the right side reversing lights. looks nice
coat me all of £5.50 to do mine or go to ( http://www.minitrailers.com/ and pay £12.93) i think not

cut the live feed from your fog lamp and join it to the revers wire
lose the earth wire from your old fog as you no longer need that one

Despite having this mod myself - be warned.............it is illegal!

Fog lights and brake light must have a minimum of 100mm seperation.

A forum search will unearth a multitude of threads on the subject.
