I feel so at home in my mini, i know where everything is and how things work and i find it dead easy to drive! I had problems finding 3rd gear a couple of times, one of which i shifted down into 1st whilst doing about 30mph!

The brakes are surprisingly not bad, you down have to press them half as hard as my dad made out and they feel pretty sturdy.
We went all over the place, on motorways, through town and on some country lanes that i know well!
Hehe my mate was gripping his seat going 'ahh theres a corner, slower! slower! brake!!' I had a big grin on my face as we zipped round it!
Only other thing that went wrong was i was at a set of lights and had pulled into the turn right only lane when i wanted to go straight

The more i drive the more the phrase 'its not you, its other people on the road' comes to mind! The amount of times people have pulled out in front of me and cut me up was unreal!!
Only thing i need to do is adjust the throttle cable because i think i'm only getting about 60% power when my foots to the floor - I don't think i pulled it all the way through when i reconnected it after doing the head gasket.
Another thing i need to do is top up the dashpot oil - How much should be in there? At the moment theres just enough to cover the little gold bit on the end of the screwoff cap. I take it it needs more?
