Engine Colour

In the summer i will be cleaning my engine and painting it, Although i cannot decided what colour to paint it, do i stay with the yellow colour or go different to somthing like a silver. Has anyone got any ideas about good colours and any pictures of engines painted different colours.

i personnally think black looks best but thts personal oppinion

Don't use any kind of engine spray paint, did mine in it about 2 months ago it's starting to flake off already. i'll send u some pics when i get home in a couple of hours, of it in silver when i 1st did it.

Ive got some silver high temp paint for engines already. Had it for awhile actually.

my engine is black, it looks like what it is an engine, not fancy, but in the red engine bay it works nicly.

Are you attempting to make the engine bay pretty or pratical...
Pretty, same colour as bodywork
Pratical, Black
But, I always think an engine looks best in Green ala cooper... with the aluminum bare, not polished.
Needless to say the next one I'm doing is RED, because that's what was in the bargain bucket at halfords, well for a quid you don't have to ask twice ! Actually may have to colour code them so I know which is which ( 4 engines in the garage, all of different sizes ) :cheese:

The original greens the only one for me. It looks practical, not too bling and as Guessworks said it looks lush with ally conponnents. Just looks right really.

Yep, I agree with green since that is what my engine is painted at the moment!!

Ive decided to go back to the original yellow. Gives it the standard look. And considering its a daily drive ill be able to notice any leaks.
