Yep - Check out the Fuji Finepix range...

S6500 - £149.99

S5800 - £124.98 (i think)

If you go here - That's the FUJI range and you can compare lots of them. (I've selected £150-£200 ... because you can probably find the ones in that bracket for sub £150, anyway)

Also, check out some Panasonics. I had an FZ-30 for years and loved the thing! :P

There's the FZ8, which i think is the new one. That's £154.99

Or... if you were after something more compact, I'd look at the Canon IXUS range

Little bit more pricey though - but the Canon IXUS 850 - £179.99

Hope this helps :o

We got a Fuji e900 a year ago, and cannot fault it.

Much cheaper now too.

The Panasonic FZ8 as Bean mentioned is a great all round camera which will do most things a DSLR would do and for half the price, I brought mine around 3months ago and has been great :)

Pete.

Go to Ebay and get yourself a Sony camcorder hi8 mini Dv. I've got one i bought for £100, with tapes, batteries and tripod. Takes great film and stills. Compacked and robust enough for trackdays.

Theres one in Aldi as a special. Its always good buying stuff from there, always has loads of warranty an if you take it back, they give you a refund straight away. The stuff they sell is always good and cheap too! Heres the link for it: Camera

May be worth looking at?!

I use a Canon Digital Ixus. You can get the 70 in your price range.

I love it. I spent a long time reading reviews and specs etc. before deciding on an Ixus.

Small, very easy to use, has various useful functions, and Optical zoom - which was one of the deciding factors. The other deciding factor for me was the size - it is quite light and small for the features you get.

Well, I like it, don't care what no one else says.

I have a Sony Cybershot T20. Cost me £230 but that was last May so it should be within your price range now. 8.1 Megapixels, very good close-up shots, not bad zoom (3x optical I think)

I took these on it this week, they're on the 5 Megapixel setting too..

This one is on FULL optical zoom:

Really good at capturing light (full zoom again):

The video&audio recording mode is excellent, really good quality for a compact camera!

There's a couple on eBay for under £150 including postage. :)
