Get new ones, they won't be expensive and are easy to fit and its useful not to have the suspension smash into itself if you hit a big old bump.

Yer bumpstops are very cheap in fact i have a spare pair!
They are a small but pretty essential to Suspension Longevity and ride comfort.
Which bump stops have gone? top or bottom?
They screw in, so are easy to install and uninstall!
Hope this Helps

Unfortunately that isn't what happens first. Before the suspension hits the subframe the balljoint pin will reach the limit of its travel, flex against its housing and start to fatigue, one day it will snap without warning and the suspension will collapse completely in that corner. Bump stops are essential and if your car has been running for any length of time without them I would strongly suggest that you replace the balljoints.
