Ok after selling the mini i needed a daily drive for getting from a-b so decide on a golf mk2 as it was affordable (only £100 and less than that to get it thru the MOT) After driving it for a few months ive decided to do a few customisations/mods to it. Still unsure on what exactly to do, only changed the grill and got a new headunit for it, new wheels and lowering next.

Latest pic with new grill-

Trim still to go on and a bit of tidying up.

I used to want a MK2 Golf myself, just like that grey one in the pic!
The theory with vee dubs is less is more! Shave everything, make it all smooth, definately debadge, and also try refitting the two light grille with an eyebrow spoiler, gives the front end a much cleaner look. Big bumper conversion is a must in my opinion, never liked the small bumper MK2's, just never looked right with the "fuller" body shape.
Anyway, gorgeous project mate, cant really complain for a hundred squids!

Debadged looks alot better, and follows the lines of the car aswell.

It needs:
16v big bumpers.
Deeper alloys.
Decking.
New wing mirrors.
Side repeaters (clear)
tints.
Deep exhaust system.
Rear lights (cleap tops, and red bottoms)
^^^
Well that would be what i would do, along with the bits you have already done.

Oh and as for the grill, get the de-badged one.. Looks miles better!!

If you were sticking with small bumpers i'd say twin spot, with big bumpers it looks sexy with either! So its down to your personal taste!
