Why do you ask?
I think its a Metric thread, but not sure on the actual size. If its an oil cooler take off, I bought one last week off ebay, for the Rover K series engines. This fits and will take the same filter. Minisport sell a kit that uses the Renault 5 filter which is a short stubby thing. This fiter doesnt fit the take off addapter of the K series, unless I bought the wrong flter, but im sure its the same one, C116. Could be that the minisport adapter is a special metric to imperial thread? or is it the other way around, the MPi oil filter thread is imperial and the Renault 5 filter is imperial? lol

Yeh, short of me taking it and the renault 5 filter to my machinists and him sizing it up, i just dont know. However, be satisfied that the K series oil filter take off fits, you will just need to use the full size filter. I dont know the clearance issues with this on the MPi cars though, maybe there is, maybe there isnt, but why would Minisport work out a way to fit a shorter filter if there wasnt? I wont have the issue on my instalation.

Bit more info
I found that the K series is listed as M20x1.5 and 13/19th UNF. Id be tempted to say that it is actualy the Metric as the K series engine was a wholey new design engine of the late eighties, and with everything else on the engine being metric, why would they use an imperial thread, what I would consider in engineering terms, as a bast ard size.
I have yet to get the digi calipers and thread pitch gauge out and measure it. can it be that these two thread forms are a very close match?
