HI all,

Starting work on a retro MK1 1959 racer from my 1981 HL mini. MK1 lights conversion etc., austin 7 grill.

Wheels and tyre choice????

Rims will be painted old english white or black??? (Mini colour: Flame Red.)

Do I go for 3.5x10 steel rims and 145x10 dunlops really retro???

or Mini Sport 4.5x10 alloy S rims they sell @£40 each with 165/70/10 yoko A008???

Running 998, 295 head, SW5, etc. Brakes: Mini Sport 4 Alloy 4pots.

The Minisport alloy 'S' replicas are made to fit over 8.4" discs as far as I'm aware and stick out MILES from the body - you need quite chunky arches to cover them.
