Hi everyone. Im new to the forum.

My 1st car was a mini and i did it up abit which was loads of fun!

Im thinking about buying another one with low milage and building into a very fast, very nice clean looking mini and then showing it. My girlfriend well into cars as well so it should be a fun project!

Im a little mechanicly minded but have not done loads of work on cars and plan to do as much work myself as possible. I will definatley be asking you guys for some help along the way!

Some questions i have are

Whats the most moddable engine?
I would like the most amount of BHP and torque i can get, Whats the best way of doing this?
Whats BHP is possible to get out of a mini, without putting bigger engines in?
What upgrades would you guys advise me to do? e.g suspension, brakes, clutch, head, carbs etc.

Iv uploaded some photos of my old beast!

Cheers in advance guys and galls.

John

hello and welcome to tmf

any mini engine can be moded the same way

its just if you start with a 1275 its always going to have more power than a 998

as for how much power, how much do you want to spend a 8 port with fuel injection is going to cost you over 4k

the more power you get from your engine the more work on other things like the suspension, brakes, clutch, head, carbs etc you will need to make
