Can't see how it can be safe as has no harness
Anyone got other seats that fit a Non-Isofix mini

I know that Toys'r'us will come out to your car with a seat and show you how to fit it and can recommend different options.

Anyone tried the Mini Group 1-2 child seat that the dealers sell

A lot of the manufacturers now use that kind of seat, it has the big piece that goes accross the lap. and is held down by the seatbelt.
They normally charge an arm and leg for this kind of seat.
I would recommend going to somewhere like toys are us etc as there is more variaty and probably a lot cheaper especialy as kiddies grow out of seats so fast

Tobi seems more secure
Need to remove rear head restraint to get the seat to fully recline

rear facing seats are much safer in the crash!
search youtube for some videos of crashes showing the comparisons

I don't think any parent would willingly want to watch videos like that... unless I'm mis-understanding and they're safety videos, in which case, ignore me

Edit: Forgot to mention that I use a Britax child seat in my mini, for our Neice, it fits in there fine... and my Nephew's new Britax boster seat works well too!
We plan to remove the rear seat squab in my traveller and fix matching Recaro baby seats in it's place, when the time comes that is

Also in a crash if the child is not developed enough then their neck is more likely to break, where as in the rear facing they do not have so much pressure on the neck.

My advice would be to try the Recaro Youngsport, its non Isofix and goes from 9 months to 12 years apparently. Fits in a mini an absolute treat and looks smart. It is dearer than most but you dont have all the inbetween sizes to buy as it has sections you remove as your nipper grows.
