not sure whom goes on A-serious, but a load of us guys went off to southam for a rolling road day just as TMF was exploding and not working. And then i think we just plane forgot to do a little write up on here for everyone. Was a great day, nice weather, nice cold induction but a sunny sky! Quite a few of us met up at banbury tesco and then convoyed down to southam mini and metro centre, all following wolfy in his 998 whom wasnt exactly looking at the speed signs, his mini must have been at 7500rpm all the way there :D lol. We got there fairly swiftly because of the leader, then all parked up and began the day while waiting for people like dave etc to join us there. No real problems, robs carb gasket on his SU had gone so a couple of guys fixed that in the corner while more cars were put through the rolling road. Dave had a few... clutch issues :P A clubby ran out of fuel on the way back from the RR (he left early) so super dave went to save the day rally style, sadly his mechanical clutch mechanism gave way and ended up in a layby, que pikey! Whom went for the second rescue mission and sorted everything out.

The results were as follows:
Karl: 998cc Standard High comp: 29.5hp @ 5000rpm
Wolfy: 998cc Stage1, silly exhaust: 35.3hp @ 5000rpm
Bean: 998cc Stage1, maniflow ex.: 37.1hp @ 5000rpm
v8Mini: 998cc Stage1 ish: 46.2hp @ 5000rpm
Rob&Dixie: 1275 Stage1 minus filter: 52.4hp @ 5000rpm
Mini93: 1330?cc, 286cam, weber: 81.2hp @ 5500rpm
Alex: 1425cc, 286cam, weber, BR head: 105.7hp @ 5500rpm

ALL RESULTS TAKEN AT WHEELS NOT FLYWHEEL

We have to say that v8Mini had the most impressive engine, putting out an extra 10bhp+ on the other 998's, probably because he got a 1100 and stamped 99H on the block huh simon :( i no your secrets. Bean beat wolfy whom wasnt too pleased about the situation, rob had to only 1275 and once fixed it did its run on the dyno, then the guys got the 2 webers fuelled beasts on the dyno. Was good seeing everyone going for a drive after the dyno run to see the difference, especially on the windey country road that leads to SMMC now. i went from 80bhp at the wheels to 105.7! so it was quite a difference.

Like to thank all the guys again, was a brilliant day, definaltly to be repeated!!!

I don't think topic starter has anything to do with number of replies! I know I've got a number of topics to my name with not many replies.

I think its more down to the fact that I don't think that many people are that interested in rolling road sessions, plus they are quite common nowadays, and to be honest, without trying to sound too harsh, but there isn't really much of interest within your results. All quite normal figures to be honest, so not a lot to comment on?

Did you get any bhp/torque graphs?! Now thats something I really would be interested in!

electric wise yeh 24v being sent via some cables that only really like 12v at the most, lets just say there was a fair bit of smoke and me running around like a willy trying to get my front off :P
